My introduction to Bonaire started in 1995 when I did an internship in the rental of villas and apartments. A few years later, at the age of 29, I bought myself a beautiful house along the boulevard for holiday rental. A few years later I sold that oceanfront home and purchased a lot freehold land on Bonaire. A few years ago we built 5 detached houses on this for sale. Certainly in my profession, I think it is really an added value that I have had a bond with the island for so long.

I emigrated in 2014 and I enjoy living here with my husband Jan Kees den Hartog and our two dogs Lola and Diksie. Jan Kees and I jointly own Harbourtown Real Estate. I mainly run the office and Jan Kees runs our other company Vista Blue, which is specialized in selling souvenirs (3 shops). What I really like to tell is that my parents, Jan and Elly Strik, also moved to the island at the beginning of 2020. I think it's wonderful that they are having such a good time here - just like me.

At Harbourtown Real Estate we intermediate in buying and selling of houses, but also in rental. We are specialised in renting for 6 weeks or longer. Until half a year we call this mid term rental and for 6 months and longer we call this long term rent. We have many houses, villa's and apartments for rent, but also office space, shops and other commercial real estate.
